Jennifer provides individual and supportive family therapy within a warm, non-judgemental, and sensitive approach. Jennifer believes that lives can unravel at times due to stressors and that individuals and families sometimes need support to re-gain balance. Jennifer draws from her experience in working in a variety of community- based treatment facilities and passion for life-long learning in an array of therapy modalities to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to the needs of the individual and family.
Jennifer is a persuasive and passionate advocate and leader in the community who has worked within the education, social services, and health care system to improve services and ensure best practices in treatment for individuals and families at the local, provincial and national level. Jennifer’s work and leadership within the community has provided her with knowledge that is invaluable to those who are navigating resources for vulnerable young people in their family and community. Her commitment to community-based service is ongoing, and she is proud to have served on the Board of Directors for The Door Youth Centre , Rideau Street Youth Enterprises and Inner City Health.
Jennifer specializes in work with young adult and their family members struggling with mood disorders, personal behavioural challenges, hoarding behaviours, and mental health issues related to addictions or substance abuse. Jennifer holds a Masters in Social Work and is registered with the College of Social Work and Social Service Workers.
