Current Opportunties

Part-Time Psychometrist

Cappelli and Associates is seeking a Psychometrist to join our Ottawa-based practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about psychological assessments and working with children and young people in a supportive, collaborative environment.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can work 2-3 days per week on a flexible schedule. In this role, you’ll play a vital part on our assessment team, administering a range of standardized tests to help identify learning disabilities, cognitive strengths, and areas where children and youth may benefit from additional support. Your work will include intellectual and memory assessments, academic testing, and measures of executive functioning, behaviour, and socio-emotional development.

Beyond test administration and scoring, you’ll contribute to the preparation of comprehensive reports that include meaningful recommendations for families and educators. Throughout this process, you’ll work closely with our supervising Psychologists, ensuring that each assessment is thorough, accurate, and tailored to the individual needs of the child or young person.

Who You Are

You have (or are completing)  a MA or PhD degree in psychology or an equivalent program. You are someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, young people, and their families, and you bring strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to every interaction. You are collaborative by nature, work well as part of a team, and take pride in producing clear, well-written reports. You also have strong time-management skills and can juggle multiple priorities.

You will have experience with measures such as the WISC, WAIS, WIAT, WRAML, Conners, and CPT.  We recognize that many talented clinicians are still developing their assessment skills, and we are committed to supporting your growth, making this an ideal opportunity to develop valuable clinical competencies in a real-world setting.

Compensation and Details

We offer a competitive hourly rate that reflects current standards in private psychological practice, with your starting rate based on your level of experience. The position is available immediately, with a flexible 2-3 day per week schedule that can be tailored to accommodate your needs.
